Bowmer + Kirkland has been selected as the main contractor for Helena Romanes School’s new site. This website supports our programme of community engagement and will be updated as the plans progress.
A planning application for the new site was approved in 2021, however, amendments have become necessary to enable the deliverability of the school, in particular the primary school, as soon as possible and to ensure compliance with the latest DfE standards.
The revised plans retain the main design principles of the consented scheme, are considered to comply with the local plan and retain the approved access which is adjacent to Buttleys Lane off Stortford Road, Great Dunmow.
